Radically saved out of heroin addiction in 1979, Jon  married Virginia in 1982 – a 2nd generation Preacher’s daughter.  While Virginia grew up in the church culture, Jon found it different from anything he had ever experienced and became aware that the church he knew was different than the one described in Acts 2 and the empty pews and unchanged lives reflected that difference.

As the years have passed, the gap has only widened between what the church has become and the biblical pattern of the early church… “ And they, continuing daily with one accord in the temple, and breaking bread from house to house, did eat their meat with gladness and singleness of heart, praising God, and having favor with all the people. And the Lord added to the church daily such as should be saved. (Acts 2:46 & 47)

 

Our heart’s desire is to close that gap and create opportunities for people to discover the true meaning and purpose of the community of faith.
